The time has come..

It's my second last day at work with IKANO Power Centre complex management.. I've cleaned up my place, thrown away the rubbish, and cleared out my personal things last Saturday..

I don't need to turn on my pc anymore if not to Facebook and check my yahoo email, because literally, there is nothing for me to do liao and I've also copied all my files, whether personal or work to my thumbdrive..

I need to take my work files with me because they are after all, my work files. I worked on them and I owned them, and they will become part of my portfolio and will assist me in my future works.. :)

I'm so busy planning what to do for this week.. gym-ing, shopping, sleeping, eating, swimming, travelling? Hmm.. planning to go Genting on Thursday for a few rounds hehehe... ^_^

Lunch..

Official farewell lunch by the mall management team at Absolute Thai today.. I wasn't really in good spirits because the Bitch sat directly opposite me in a long table.. I looked left and right but not front.. So san fu!!

Of cos the moment was like awkward.. luckily take group photo that time I didn't stand beside my boss.. if not.. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......

I literally spent the entire day going around taking picture with anyone I can catch hold of today.. and then chit chat with people I dont normally talk to.. then I also go tease people.. I also took a picture with the adik cleaner who without complain empties my dustbin every evening and wipes my table and painstakingly clean my keyboard and mouse and monitor every evening too.. Actually, its ALL the pc she cleans every evening.. So I just personally thank her for all her works.. I am one who believes in appreciating and letting people know I appreciate their work..

Unlike my boss..

Only know how to step step step and demoralise and downgrade people and take credit for other people's good work but bad work blame on people... See the difference between me and my boss? That's why we can't work together.

I have so much fun today.. going around making people laugh and smile and remember me, before I leave.. I love to leave an impression on others; better that is..

And oh! My new company called me up and asked me if I can start early! Of cos I said yes, because otherwise I really didnt know else to do.. I will start in my new role on 20 July, just right after back from Penang..

What? I do it when I want to do it. You dont fucking ask me to do EVERY FUCKING PAPER WORK by today!

It's 3.30pm when I got back from lunch and walk walk.. and I have to get ready a stack of agreements for the Bitch for like 13 clients and each client's paper is like 3-4 pages each? Niama even though with template I still have to change all the details and numbers and dates and figures and fuck!

Do this, do that, now now now, by today.. those are all her favourite words.! I have enough of it.. cant you just let me enjoy my last days of torture??

I dont fucking care actually. I already shreded a stack of documents yesterday and will discard 2-3 boxes of rough paper I accumulated over 3 years.. hmm.. look at what misprinted, typo, extra prints, unnecessary prints can do to your life! Wahahahaha... like 3 medium size boxes ok.. full of unwanted papers..

Saturday is the day I will clean up my desk and my cabinets.. and then Monday I so dont fucking care to even switch on my pc anymore :)

Isn't it funny when people hear you are leaving, they'll start pouring out life stories and gossips to you, and expect you to swallow them in just minutes?

Damn.. I had lunch today with one of the former senior manager, and was fed like juicy, itsy bitsy dramas of all time, and conspiracy at its best!

Some of the best kept secrets are no longer secrets as my jaws dropped as I listened what actually transpired years ago, shaping the company into what it is today..

Lunch on Thursday is with my graphic designer whom I took pity also due to his weekly cucuking by my boss.. I hope he can leave asap too..

Lunch on Friday is with the entire IKANO Power Centre management team.. Not sure who are the attendees as I am the VIP now.. and the VIP need not know the details..

Lunch on Sat is .. hmm.. wait a minute.. Sat is not working day but I will be busy packing up my stuffs in the morning..

Lunch on Mon is with my former colleague who's very close to me..

And finally, lunch on Tuesday is with the Accounts girls and other colleagues I occasionally chat up..

As lunch slots are so limited, I'm now getting breakfast appointments too.. sweet colleagues rebut-ting to buy me breakfast too.. gee.. Looks like this whole week I dont have to spend any money for breakfast and lunch!!

And.. and... afternoon tea appointments also got people book me liao.. Sibuk lah aku nak layan semua, kembanglah perut aku nih!! (I'll be so busy pleasing everyone and my stomach will sure grow exponentially!)

Itulaahhh I say, celebrity namanya!! LOL...

And maybe Tues night will go out celebrate sing K with my geng.. the people who made my working life a wonderful journey.. the executives who shared the brunt and thorns of brutal attacks of our bosses.. I heart my colleagues :)

Wee... I've been very busy as I go around the mall saying the goodbyes to the tenants.. Been a good long journey as I fought hard and helped them with their marketing, advertising and all that things.. Tenants come and go, but friends are made and I will bring all my contacts along with me.. My boss says that I deserved that because it is my hard work building my network..

Omg.. so many things to do, so little time!!

The countdown has begun.. the clock has started ticking..


And my boss is being VERY NICE to me.. and VERY POLITE too.. so unlike her last week and the prior year!

Something unexpected..

Friday, 26 June 1pm - Attended my 2nd interview and it turned to be an interview with the Operations Manager, the Area Manager (who will be my immediate superior), Purchasing Manager and HR Exec... and it was during that interview, that I was offered the position and then the packaged was discussed.. I accepted the offer..

Monday, 29 June 3.30pm - Collected and signed my offer letter..

Monday, 29 June 4.30pm - Tendered my resignation to HR Manager, and then printed another copy put on bitch table.. Bitch read it and throw it aside.. Pretend nothing happen..

Tuesday, 30 June 9am - Bitch came in earlier today, and greeted me "Good morning", something she did not do for more than a year already.. She stopped greeting me and I stopped greeting her sometime mid last year when things began to turn ugly..

After that, Bitch turned to me with my resignation letter and asked me very, very politely if I will leave early by offsetting with annual leaves.. I replied, yes, without looking at her..

Straightaway Bitch ran to HR room and asked for my leave balance..

Tuesday, 30 June 10am - News spread like wildfire.. As people start clocking in to work and settle down today, the feeling and atmosphere was totally different.. I am like a celebrity now.. Phone call non-stop.. people who are in the know are surprised and happy for me, while those who dont know or those who sit in rooms or seperated areas, was shocked by the news.. Colleagues and ex colleagues are busy making lunch appointments aka farewell lunches with me, all lined up from today till my last day next Tuesday, 7 July..

Tuesday, 30 June 5pm - By now, the entire office staff including that of IKEA's already heard my resignation news.. Congratulatory messages started pouring in..



So.. why am I like a celebrity?

1) I broke the record of the dept by being the longest serving exec.. 4 execs quit in 4 years.. I was the fifth exec and I stayed for 3 years..
2) My dept is a very high-profile dept - Marketing. Under Marketing, there's Advertising & Promotions.. I have very important portfolios too, revenue-making.. I hit 50% above my target for FY08/09.. A record breaking despite the bad economic situations..
3) I am among those staff highly "watched".. Any shift can bring dramatic results (like my resignation).
4) I am considered one of the more friendly colleague and I mixed with anyone and everyone, irregardless of position or dept.. I've made friends from across all levels - from managers to part timers to cashiers as well as parking boys..
5) The Bitch is very influential in the retail world.. Almost everyone who's in the retail line would probably know her, be it shopping mall managements or retail shop owners or companies.. To know her bitchy attitude and yet I can tahan her for 3 years is no easy feat.. People in the industry looked high on me and a lot of them dont like the Bitch..

And colleagues told me the Bitch has been extra nice to everyone in the office today.. as well as for the advertisement for vacancy is going out today, the Bitch is also asking around for recommendations to find replacement as soon as possible..

Why?

Cos my last day is NEXT TUESDAY 7 JULY!!!

Greatness in itself..

I have never actually woke up THIIISSSS early on a workday, needless to say clock in THIIISSS early, but I feel great today.. even though down with flu and shits but still, mentally I'm feeling just great!!

Enjoying every moments..

Well, time to start packing my things and organising what's to be left behind.. gee.. I seriously has a lot of things to learn from now.. crash courses courtesy of my beloved colleagues..

AND imagine spending everyday gossiping and going around saying the goodbyes hahaha... gosh, it's so gonna be fun, ain't it? ^_^

I quit.. seriously!

When I first joined this company, I gave myself 3 years.. 3 years to learn what I need to learn and then move on..

Sadly, 3 years has indeed passed.. But I've only managed to learn like 70% of the things.. I didnt get to complete my learnings because of my boss.. She don't trust me.. She challenged me to go out and find another job..

Which I did.. for the past 7 months..

And I tendered my resignation today directly to the HR Manager, and I just simply print out another copy and left it on her table..

She opened it, read it, stuffed the letter back into the envelope and threw it aside - ignoring it?

With about 16 days of annual leaves to offset, I can leave as early as next Wednesday! Woohoo!!.. And coming up is Penang trip which I will give my thanks prayers at St Anne's.. I will surely enjoy myself..

Since my new job only starts 1 Aug, I don't know what I should do for the next 3 weeks.. Any ideas? Hehe.. was thinking of getting a temporary job since the sales has started, so I guess departmental stores would normally require extra manpower.. Maybe I'll consider that.. heheh..

People.. I am damn free now.. No more stress from work caused by nothing to do at work.. and then the stupid bitch is going to die.. AHAHHAHAaha..........
