Of PLUTO & Private Structure

If anyone of you remember PLUGuide which was published many years ago in Singapore, Thailand, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Taiwan, you would have known that they have become PLUTO!

No, it's not the little out-casted planet, or Disney's dog.. It's a publication for gay..

PLUGuide is like a locality map showing all gay places (F&Bs, massages, boutique, clubs etc) and printed according to city. I stumbled upon the first issue of PLUGuide while on a trip to Bangkok many years ago. Apparently, the hotel room we had was occupied by a gay couple, but we checked in before the housekeeping can clean the room, and we found the PLUGuide.

Then on, I subscribed to it till it went "out of business", only to resurrect last year.

I found the first issue of PLUTO on a trip to Hong Kong last year and straight away bought it.. It was sitting on a bookshelf in Comet Bookshop begging me to buy it.. All in all, I spent about HK$500 in that bookstore alone.. :)

Then I bought the second one in Kuala Lumpur for RM18 and now, the third issue is on sale! It's available at http://www.pluguide.com/ for US$6, or you can get it at a few places in KL or Singapore or Thailand or Hong Kong or Taiwan (ok, it's like everywhere in HK and Taiwan duhhh..)

The promotion now is that, Buy 2 issues Free 1 issue (since they only have 3 issues so far). Go grab it. There is no glaring naked pictures, but yea, its quite informative, especially for those who just came out.. aka "newbie"

PLUTO also comes with the PLUTO card which entitles you to various discounts. More establishments coming up soon.

One look and you can tell it's a gay publication, and dont worry, delivery comes in .. brown paper packages, tied up with strings, these are a few of my favourite things (Ok, it doesnt come with strings, that's just a line from The Sound of Music lol).
