In today's post, I will just write about Chuan Tang - the hot springs that's synonymous with gay, although men who goes there comprised of straights and kids too...
It's Saturday, 7 January and since I have nothing to do (I cancelled the day trip plan to Kaoshiung cos my friend has to be on-call in the hospital, so too bad) so I decided I should just visit the hot springs.. It's winter and it's chilly, but I don't feel cold at all..
So I took a MRT ride to Shipa station, and following the directions given, I hopped on to the bus that will pass by the area.. Being somewhat illiterate in Mandarin, I didn't know how to read "alley" and "lane", which is quite common in Taipei.. I mean, I never bothered to find out how alley is like and how lane is line in mandarin.. I was so confident that I will find the place..
And got lost..
Apparently I did what others TOLD not to do.. I got off at the wrong stop.. The stop that says Alley 300, which was time and again reminded that it's the wrong stop.. But I didn't know until much later.
So I was walking around the area of Alley 300, up and down trying to make sense of my location.. I failed.. So I had to turn on the GPS on my iPhone and thus incurring 3G data charges.. and then suddenly an eureka moment... I finally realised I was at the wrong stop.. LOL..
So I went back to the bus stop where I got off from, and patiently waited for the bus to come.. It's a fixed 15 dollars ride (RM1.50), so up the bus went.. It was a looonnngg winding road uphill and soon, it began to make more sense.. Lane 240... Lane 265... Lane 280..
***** rrrinnnggggggggg ******
The bus stops at exactly Lane 300... so I got off and walked towards Chuan Tang.. it's already obvious from the street.. anyway it's only mid-day so not many people are heading that way... It's a hell lot totally different scenario at night... Which I will come to it later..
I saw the signboard, and went right at it.. Keeping in mind not to turn to the private bath area, I headed and walked on straight to the public bathing area, bought my ticket and went in..

Walk down the stairs.. its steep ok...

See the high black netting? That's the area for men..
Oh my fucking godly sight! Never in my life have I seen so many naked men in public as this.. I speed count.. about 50 guys...
There's the big pool of hot water about 43 degrees celcius, another small round pool of icy cold water, and another square one with lukewarm water in jacuzzi pool., and the steam room that's not bigger than my bedroom, and the changing area and toilet..
There's the seated showers like what we see in Japanese movies.. hahah.. without mirrors that is...
I was there like about 3 hours before my skin screamed to be left alone.. All wrinkled up no good u know? hahaha.. so I left at about 4.. went downtown for dinner.. and then read some books with a cuppa coffee... and then I realised I have nothing to do when all the shops closes at 9.30pm or so...
Then it hit me.. why don't I go to the hot springs again? They say, the hot stuffs only begins after 10 when the families and kids leave... I was like.. SURE WHY NOT???! Cos it's not everytime I am in Taipei, alone, in winter and nothing else to do!

Taking the bus like a pro for the second time lol!!! I can sit down and enjoy the ride!
So I backtrack, took the train, took the bus, but I am smart the second time, walked like an expert.. In fact the bus has so many other guys, all of whom were heading to the hot springs too..
Once I reached there, I was like.. OMFG... had I been 15 minutes later, I would have to queue up for a locker since all the lockers were running out and shoe shelf also was quite full.. I took a glimpse, my mind tells me I am looking at about 100 120 men, all naked, all shapes and sizes and ages, and all Asian!!
I was like... in Eden.. except there's no apples and snakes lol.. The gushing sound of waterfall behind the place makes it so tranquil.. and everyone was watching everyone.. Majority are university students, hunks and military (from their crew cut hairs), only a handful were uncles and maybe one or two kids..
The steam room was soooooooo packed that the door can't close.. someone has to hold the door from outside..
It was a sight to behold... I am lucky I didnt stay in Taipei, otherwise this would essentially be a place to replace clubbing lol...
There was an angmoh in the day time but night time, I guess these are the locals with cars or with access to public transport..
I didn't stay long, for fearing I would miss the last train, so I left at about midnight... waited a while for the bus to get to Shipa station, but I detour and got off the train at Shuang Liang station.... and I walked to.....
ANIKI!!!!!
Yes, you haven't been to Taipei if you didn't go Aniki...
And that brought me to my third sex of my holiday... the last few hours in Taipei before leaving to the airport in the morning...
..... next... Third and final sex on holiday (I'm pretty fast writing about my holiday lol!!!)...

5 cum shots left behind:
No sex encounter in Chuan Tang? They don't have private room for action?
Saw anyone got erection ( or youself) since there were so many naked guys around? hmmmm... yummy..yummy ;)
@nick: nope. haha i dont bother to go find out where the private room area is.. all i know in the private room inside is a private hot tub for 1 person, thats all..
hard-on? no.. apparently nobody had a hard-on.. i think its because of the chilly winter weather plus the hot water.. and all... and it's a bit slimy ya cos of the alkaline..
咦~~~ Still nothing happen!
Dear pluboy
I am traveling to Taipei sometime next week and would love to pay a visit to Chuantang. Problem is, I don't know how to get there, Do you mind telling what bus to take and where from to get to Chuantang? Thanks!
Plus any good AJ places to visit there?
Cheers!
Zach
Hi Zach,
Here's the direction I wrote down..
From Shipai station (blue line) main exit which is facing a busy cross junction.
1. as you exit the station, keep right. cross the road. there's shops and stalls selling food.
2. walk along the road, u can see bakery, 7-11, some restaurant till you came to the next road (this road has many food stalls). cross that road, in front of u is a bus stop that's at China Trust.
3. take bus 508, 535, 536. just got on to any of these bus, and pay when only when exit (by the metro card or cash). Should be 15 dollars., not too sure.
4. Sit until Sinyi Road stop #3. The bus would have pass through general hospital on left, and then go up a long winding mountain road. on your right, you can see the numbers going bigger and bigger. WARNING: DO NOT CONFUSE SHIPAI RD and SHINGYI ROAD. Only when the bus goes uphill, then u pay attention to the right. Total about 10 minutes bus ride.
Best seat is just behind the driver so that you can see both sides of the road and in front of u.
5. Then, when you'll begin to see signages for hotsprings. Until you see a huge collection (like 15 signboards) together, u press the bell and get off. Chances are people are also getting off here. Chuan Tang signage is white with green words, top left.
6. Walk down the lane, you'll pass by parking lot, then a couple hot springs left and right. Keep walking straight ahead..
THEN YOU CAN SEE CHUAN TANG AS I TAKEN THE PHOTO..
then just go down the stairs a long way down that is.. then turn left, passed a bar, and restaurant, go to the counter on the left, pay 200 dollars, then trackback to the stairs there, and turn left (from stairs is up ahead), then the male is just on the left. give your ticket to the lady sitting beside the entrance.
once you enter, its locker. u need coins for the locker. prepare loose change.. i forgot how much is the locker.. should be 10 or 20 dollars per open.
strip, SHOWER, and you're off!
on gay places, you must go Aniki if sauna is your thing (Rainbow is okay too). Entrance is 800 dollars. It's at 333 LinSen Road. Take a cab from Shuang Lian stn Exit 1, cos walking directions from MRT is a bit far and confusing. Tell the cab driver you want to go Gloria Hotel. There's a lot of food stalls. I cannot really remember which lane it is, but it's kinda directly opposite gloria entrance. ask me again, if you decide to go. I'll get the directions.
G-star and Raw (or was it Rave?!) are the better clubs. Passport required.
And Ximen red house is where the gay epicentre is.. underwear shops, bars.. more for bears.. for eyewash, not for hunting.
