East Meet West in Korea

Halfway across the globe, well almost, 4200km for me and 11,000km for him, we met in Korea..

He was a solo traveler from downtown New York City, 21 years old and only just came out to his parents before flying to Korea.. He had stayed in the same hostel as my friends and I did.. he arrived a day earlier though.. and while we were there, I noticed his sight when he was having his morning coffee and night supper.. both so coincidently I also have my morning coffee & cigg as well as night coffee & cigg...

The temperature averages minus 10 but who cares? I need my cigg fix anyway, so gloves off, with only a tee and jacket, track pants and slippers, I took my puff outside the compound.. Frankly speaking, it's actually not that cold, if there's no wind..

So I actually noticed him alone, and he likewise.. But we didn't really chat..

Then he messaged me in Grindr and said something so corny I almost burst out laughing when we really talked in person, "I found you!!"

The day we talked, was the day me and my 2 gal friends have nothing else to do, so we wanted to go for coffee at Coffee Prince in Hongik University, so we invited him along.. actually, the girls did.. They didn't know he's gay, but that's beside the point..

So we set out to Hongik, while my new friend went to the dry cleaner to send his coat to dry clean, which later he did not and met us up in Hongik..

He gotten a map drawn by people nearby Coffee Prince as I think he might have lost his way after walking for a while.. Coffee Prince is seriously 20 mins walk from Hongik station.. If it's summer, I will kill my friends.. but since its winter and damn cold, we just walked on while relying on my GPS..

My American friend can speak simple Korean so after coffee, we set out for lunch, a very delicious Korean cuisine just down the road round the corner from Coffee Prince.. They probably have the best BBQ pork.. the 3-layer meat.. hahaha.. and that's when I whacked all the kimchi plate after plate.. I guess I alone had about 10 plates of kimchi..

How I eat kimchi? 2 mouthful of kimchi and a single scoop of rice... bliss... yummy....

After lunch, we went to Jongno as I need to get tickets for a JUMP show.. so I left my gal friends with the American guy... he was so kind to buy them coffee.. After coffee, we parted ways, but met a few more times back in the hostel...

At the same time, having dinner with a uber friendly Korean ajuma and ajussi;
and he called himself a sonsu!! LOLXXX... just normal friends, we thought...
But it's all in the joking spirit..

y new friend has since gone back to New York but we still keep in touch via Grindr only as both of us have returned our Korean phones and have yet to exchanged real numbers lol... that's something very beneficial to me, as NYC is definitely in my plans.. and he has offered to host me and whoever friends I am travelling with.. That's very nice of him...

He gave me one very strong advice, that "dreams do not necessary come true in America", although he admitted that many do, there are those who wished they had never gone to America.. So oh well... I won't "jump plane" (abscond) definitely but that didn't stop me from actually considering migrating to the States, probably 10 20 years later.. who knows :)

Still anxiously waiting for the next sex encounter?

Hehehee... you know what? I think I have kinda finished writing about my Korea trip, so I would have flown to Taipei on my next leg of holiday...

And the Taipei sex encounter happened on the same day I arrived in Taipei..... the second sex on the holiday...
