So... let me start writing about my trip with the top story first =)

I arrived in Seoul about 4.30am from Hong Kong, a flight that took about 4 hours.. Upon landing, the temperature outside was minus 8.. It's just fucking cold as the wind was very strong and seeped through the opening between the aerobridge and the plane.. I headed straight to the phone rental counter to get myself a local phone.. as Malaysian telcos are blocked in Korea, no idea why, no knowledge why and how.. And being the group self-proclaimed lead, I need to get it..

I took the unlimited data package as I knew I would need to go online for GPS and google for directions and all... It's really very different from printing out directions and actually following it on foot, as I realised most are useless... there's just too many alleys and lanes in Seoul that's never on the maps.. So GPS is really handy!!

I grabbed a quick bite at McDonalds as it's like the only place that's opened, and then took a quick nap.. By the time I was done, it's already 7am so I made my way downtown Seoul to check-in to my hotel.. It was minus 9.. And I froze because I only had my jacket on and a layer of clothing!

The journey downtown took about an hour and a half by train, transferring in Gimpo Airport.. Then it was just many more stations before reaching Khakisan where I would stay for a night.. It took me about an hour walking in negative degrees celcius temperature scouring around the place to find this hotel - Rainbow Hotel - which is like smacked in the middle of a residential area.. Oh God knows who can find it!

After checking-in, I slept a further 2 hours or so before my stomach yelled at me.. I mean, I had eaten on the plane, at the airport and now it's telling me I was hungry again?? Ok, so I got dressed, and put on 2 more layers of clothing and off I go to find food..

My first thought - TimesSquare cos it's just a few stations away.. yea, I had lunch there.. I was really at a lost on how to order food but after looking and learning, I knew my way, except that I can't speak a single Korean word, so I just pointed at what I want and ordered by writing down the corresponding number.. Then they gave me a remote...

After lunch and walking around in Lotte World Yeungdeungpo (seen ice on the road for the first time!), I decided to head to Watermill... Now Watermill is at the other side of Seoul, near Gangnam, at this station called Nyoheon.. It's about an hour ride away but there's eye candies in the train so it's fine.. and I realised Koreans are quite tall actually, a quick scan and I thought my height was just on the bottom of the scale for men.. Most are above 6 feet..

So Watermill was where I went.. and after paying the admission of 7,000WON (about RM21) as it's before 7pm, I saw that there's wasn't many people.. took off my boots and placed it on the shelvings, and head on to the lockers.. the floor was heated.. great :p

They gave a big and a small towel, easily big is for shower, small is for convenience.. So everyone was just holding on to both towels.. I left the small one in the locker and just wrap myself with the big one.. "Toured" the place a little to get a feel of how it's mapped and layout, and they have a big communal room with a huge mattress on the floor, which can accommodate about 20-30 guys..

Moving on.. showers.. there's glory holes.. and the partition is frosted mostly.. but you can obviously see who's in the next cubicle..

Next, the rooms.. most have single mattress to accommodate just two for some private fun, the doors are sliding doors WITH no locks but it's understandable that if its complete closed, it means, do not disturb, and if it's partially open, means you are welcomed.. If it's fully opened, well, it means it's free to use or exhibitionist lol... The back 3 rooms have no doors, only curtains and the mattresses are raised to waist high.. hmm maybe that's a good height for those who prefers standing :p

OK.. some are just my type, some are not.. and angmohs will usually NOT be having any good time, according to the Koreans.. I did something I would not do elsewhere.. I just laid in one of the rooms, with my towel slightly off to indicate I am available..

Not long after, someone came in but left the door partially opened..

With all the thingy all over me, I found it quite challenging to get up and not dirty my towel.. so I just walked rather slowly to the showers trying to avoid contact with the towel.. cleaned up and headed to Itaewon for dinner..

Itaewon is the gay place in Seoul and it's where English is widely spoken due to its location whereby the American has their army base nearby.. The place is so westernised that you'll be forgiven if you forget you are in Seoul..

So I had my dinner there, walked up and down, trying on my gaydar.. didn't really work.. probably it's too cold that my gaydar malfunctioned lol... It was about minus 10 degress that night..

And I was all alone.. My friends were not due to arrive in Seoul until next morning.. So I went back to my hotel alone..

One thing I realised, I was foreverhungry :)
